In the last post, we discussed three types of graters commonly used in Lithuanian cooking. If, however, the thought of shredding pounds of potatoes with the fine "potato grater" made you cringe, you are not alone. Assuredly, few people would brave doing it with their bare hands. Thus, introducing a must-have appliance in Lithuanian cooking: an electric potato grater.

This beast can grate a potato in 2 seconds, and thus the whole bag in under a minute. You can see it in action in the video below (don't worry if you don't speak Lithuanian - the visuals are quite self-explanatory!).
