Below is the summary of cooking products I discussed in various post of my blog and used in recipes in my book. Here they all are in one place for a quick reference.

A centerpiece of appliances in any Lithuanian kitchen, the electric grater is a must-have for potato pancakes, potato pie, zeppelins. It grates a potato in less than 2 seconds!
Cheesecloth is often used to strain grated potatoes when preparing zeppelins. I find that nut milk bags work equally well and are easier to clean afterwards.
The coarse side of the box grater is for grating beats, and the fine prickly side is for potatoes. But unless you like scraped knuckles, get an electric potato grater instead.

For zeppelins, whistlers, and Samogitian pancakes, I prefer ricing potatoes (rather than mashing) for an even texture. A potato ricer comes in handy!
To boil zeppelins, you will need a large stock pot. Zeppelins release a lot of starch when boiled, and a spacious pot prevents them from sticking together.
Just a fun gift!
